Psalm 73:25
Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on this earth.
In the world we have resolutions which we make at the beginning of the year. We keep a list of goal which we have to work on in this year. Often we fail to follow it through after few weeks.
In our Christian life too we need not have a resolution but we can have a hope that Lord will do something new in your life and mine this coming year. When we examine our previous year we might find new areas God has given you light on your life. Some areas where we are struggling. In the areas where we want to see a change we can claim God’s promise and have a complete hope that He will give us the grace and full fill that promise in that particular area in our life. Here it is not our doing but the Lord’s, this does not mean we can sit back and relax. No, we need to be faithful and humble ourselves.
After some failures in 2019, God has showed me where I lack in my spiritual life. I was not working towards holiness. I did not judge myself each day, all these happened because I did not have undistracted devotion to Christ. Here is a new beginning for me which God has given me in His mercy to glorify His name. This year I pray God will give me grace to know Jesus better and have undistracted devotion towards Him in response to his love for me.
Do you have a hope for this coming year? If not take time to pray what you want to change in this year and confess it. If you believe it in your heart and confess with your mouth, God will give you His grace.
